Token Tally Privacy Policy
Token Tally is developed by Dicky Junior Hokie. It creates a personal share card from usage statistics reported by your signed-in Codex account.
Information used
At your request, the plugin reads account-reported lifetime token usage, peak daily usage, activity streaks, longest agent turn, and available daily usage records. It records a collection timestamp. It uses your existing Codex sign-in through the Codex app server; its helper does not read or export your credentials or conversation content.
Local processing and storage
The helper saves a usage snapshot and generated card files in your chosen workspace on the computer running the task. When initiated from mobile through a connected computer, the work runs on that computer. Token Tally has no developer-operated backend and does not send your usage statistics or cards to the developer, enroll you in a leaderboard, or share your card automatically.
Other services
OpenAI processes account requests and chat activity under its own terms and privacy policies. Platform syncing, file storage, and retention depend on your OpenAI product and settings. Token Tally uses the Tesseract graphics CLI to render cards. If missing, setup downloads it from the vendor’s GitHub release. Tesseract may send basic command telemetry, including command type, version, operating system, timing, and random identifiers, according to its settings. Its documented telemetry excludes prompts, card contents, filenames, paths, and raw arguments. You can disable this telemetry with tsrct telemetry disable. See Tesseract’s vendor privacy policy and OpenAI’s privacy policy.
Your control
You choose when to retrieve statistics and whether to share a card. You can delete local snapshot and export files and uninstall the plugin. Deleting local files does not necessarily delete copies held by chat syncing, backups, or recipients with whom you shared them. Manage those copies through the relevant service.
Information visible on a shared card
The card shows usage statistics. Its small record mark also encodes the exact lifetime count, collection timestamp, and a source label. The mark is an unsigned consistency check, not proof of identity or authenticity. Anyone who receives the card may read or decode that information.
